Lesson 5 – War with the Beast (part 1)
The 5th Trumpet – Satan thrown down to Earth
o Satan is thrown down to Earth at the 5th
Trumpet, the day of the nuclear war.
o
Rev 9:1
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had
fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit
was given to him.
o
Rev 9:2
And he opened the bottomless pit; and smoke went up out of the pit, like
the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the
smoke of the pit.
o Isaiah sees the star of the morning
(Lucifer) fall from heaven and go to the recesses of the north.
o
Isa 14:12
"How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the
dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!
o
Isa 14:13
"But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise
my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In
the recesses of the north.
o
Isa 14:14
'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like
the Most High.'
o
Isa 14:15
"Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of
the pit.
o He is an Anointed Cherub created by God
and cast out of heaven– Ezek 28:12-19
o
He
had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
o
He
was in Eden, the garden of God.
o
"You were the anointed cherub who
covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You
walked in the midst of the stones of fire.
o
"You were blameless in your ways From
the day you were created, Until unrighteousness was found in you. "By the
abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence, And you
sinned;
o
Therefore I have cast you as profane From
the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the
midst of the stones of fire. "Your heart was lifted up because of your
beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the
ground; I put you before kings, That they may see you.
o
"By the multitude of your iniquities,
In the unrighteousness of your trade, You profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore
I have brought fire from the midst of you; It has consumed you, And I have
turned you to ashes on the earth In the eyes of all who see you. "All who know
you among the peoples Are appalled at you; You have become terrified, And you
will be no more.”
Satan is the Great Red Dragon
o A Summary of the
Dragon’s Activities is provided in Revelation 12.
o What he did in the
Past.
o
He is
described as a great red dragon with 7 crowned heads and ten horns, a serpent,
a devil, and Satan.
o
He
opposes the woman (Israel, Joseph’s Dream Gen 37) and wants to devour her male
child.
o
The
male child is Christ, who was resurrected and caught up to heaven and will rule
all nations.
o
Israel
escapes into the wilderness after the Romans destroy Jerusalem.
o What will happen
to the Dragon in the Future.
o
A war
occurs in heaven between Michael and his angels and the dragon and his angels
are not strong enough and are thrown down to earth (Michael’s activity is also
referenced in Dan 12:1).
o
The
Devil comes down with great wrath, knowing he has only a short time.
o
He
then persecutes the woman (nation of Israel) who escapes with support from wings
of a great eagle (US support) and is protected for a time, times, and half a
time (3 ½ years).
o
The
Dragon pursued the woman, but could not destroy her, and went off to make war
with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold the
testimony of Jesus (Christians).
o Satan becomes
the power behind the nation in the north (Russia) that initiated the Nuclear
War.
o
Rev 9:11
They have as king over them, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew
is Abaddon, and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon.
o Satan has been
the power behind all world empires (Rev 17) as well as the final Beast with 10
Kings.
o
Rev 13:1
And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast
coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns
were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.
o
Rev 13:2
And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like
those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave
him his power and his throne and great authority.
o Satan will speak
through the man in Russia known as the antichrist that eventually joins with
the 10 kings. He is described as the false prophet.
o
Rev 13:11
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two
horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon.
The Rise of the 10 King Government
o The World is
currently ruled by Sovereign Nations that negotiate through Military Alliances
and Political/Economic Organizations.
o This order will
not change unless Sovereign Nations are willing or forced to relinquish their
authority.
o The nuclear war
between Russia and the US/Europe (NATO) will affect major nations in the world.
o The world
organizations like NATO, EU and UN will then establish a new authority (10
Kings) to prevent any future nuclear attacks.
These initial 10 kings will not include Russia who initiated the nuclear
attack.
o Because Satan
incited the Russian king to initiate the nuclear attack, Michael throws Satan
down from heaven to earth on the day of the nuclear war and Satan ends up as
the direct power behind the Russian king who becomes the antichrist.
o
Isa 14:12-13 "How you have fallen from heaven, O star
of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who
have weakened the nations! "But you
said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the
stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses
of the north.
o
Rev 9:11

o In order to
insure world peace and control over nuclear weapons, the league of 10 kings
will bring the king of Russia into the world security organization. He then rises to power and removes three of
the Kings.
o
Dan 7:24
'As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and
another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones
and will subdue three kings.
o This powerful military King is the
antichrist under the direct influence of Satan.
o The three kings
removed or subdued by the antichrist are from Christians nations.
o
Dan 7:20-21 and the meaning of the ten horns that were on
its head and the other horn which came up, and before which three of them fell,
namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth uttering great boasts and which was
larger in appearance than its associates.
"I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and
overpowering them
o
Rev 13:6-7
And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His
name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. It was also given to him to make war with
the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and
tongue and nation was given to him.
